The perfect No Fuss BOHO Wedding- East Texas

Are you dreaming and pinning your perfect Bohemian inspired wedding? Are you searching for wedding venues in East Texas?

See how Allison used the Sunset Oaks “Something Borrowed” décor closet, added her flair of boho with simple statement piece to tie it all together. We love her no-fuss approach, and she couldn’t have been happier with how it all turned out!

Advice from the Bride!

“Take this time in! Do not become so stressed in the details that it ruins the experience! This is such an exciting time in your life that you will not get back :)”

How did you two meet??

My friend Siera went on a cruise the summer of 2018. While in the Bahama’s she called me to tell me she met a boy, come to find out we both attened the same college. Nolan and I planned to meet in August and like they say the rest is history.

Tell us about the proposal!!

Nolan had planned for us to go to the Dallas Arbortuem over Labor day weekend. Nolan and I started taking photos and talking and then he got down on one knee! I was completley shocked and over joyed! :)

What moment were you most looking forward to on your wedding day?

Sunset Photos!!

Our top 3 favorite moments of the day-

1- When Allison and Nolan did their “first touch” and exchanged cards before the wedding, would you believe this- they had purchased the exact same card for each other!! Can you say, “soul mates?”

2- Their ceremony and reception were a blast (FYI- it was a dry wedding!). And Allison showed off her dance skills, and let’s just say she got Nolan to blush!! It was so much fun.

3- At the end of the night, the bride and groom along with their families were GLOWING with excitement and joy. These moments of gratitude where they thank us for how amazing their day was makes it all worth it!

Let’s see the details!!

Allison told me she was SOOO tempted by the IG photos to buy more and more decor, expand her floral budget, and kinda felt a little pressured. But, she remembered that their day was much more than decorations.

She used primarily the “something borrowed” decor closet for tables, prioritized the arch flowers of her dreams, and she purchased a few key custom pieces she’ll cherish forever!

She had NO regrets- it took merely an hour or so to decorate with just one bridesmaid helping!! That freed up a ton of time to just ENJOY the wedding day.

Why did you choose Sunset Oaks?

I love the modern style of the venue/ the ceremony spot overlooking all the trees!

Now that your Best Day Ever has come and gone, what can you share about your experience with Sunset Oaks?

Looking for a wedding venue can be difficult, but when I stepped foot on the property of Sunset Oaks, I immediately fell in love! My husband and I could not have imagined getting married anywhere else! Everything from the location, staff, and style of the venue was everything we could have asked for plus more! The staff went above and beyond the day of our wedding to ensure that everything went smoothly and for that I am forever thankful :) Highly recommend this place!!!!!!

We say it again and again, we LOVE our clients, and we believe some of the biggest hearts and best folks find their way to us! God is so good, and we are immensely grateful to have the opportunity to serve as a wedding venue in East Texas.
