Wedding Coordinator
Location: Sunset Oaks Venue – 10361 TX-110, Tyler, TX
Pay: $18-20/hour (based on experience) + Commission
Schedule: (2–3 per month during peak season; 1–2 MAX during off-season, total 15-20 per year)
Fridays: 11a-11pm
Sundays: 11a-11p
PLUS weekday onsite meetings and rehearsals as needed
As a Wedding Coordinator at Sunset Oaks, you’ll be the primary point of contact on wedding days, ensuring each event runs smoothly, on time, and with care. Our coordinators have the honor and responsibility of guiding couples through one of the most important days of their lives, bringing months of planning to life with calm leadership and attention to detail.
This role blends event management, hospitality, and problem-solving. You’ll oversee timelines, coordinate vendors, support the couple, family, and wedding party, and act as the on-site decision maker to ensure the day unfolds seamlessly from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare for the Month-Of Coordinating meeting and support the couple the month of the wedding
Serve as the lead on-site coordinator for wedding day operations
Manage and execute the wedding timeline, ensuring all events stay on schedule
Greet and support the couple, wedding party, family members, and guests with professionalism and warmth
Coordinate with vendors (photographers, DJs, caterers, florists, etc.) the month of the wedding through the day-of to ensure smooth setup, transitions, and teardown
Oversee ceremony and reception logistics, including processional cues, transitions, and special moments
Troubleshoot issues calmly and discreetly as they arise
Assist venue decorators with setup of decor details
Communicate clearly with venue staff and management to maintain smooth operations
Ensure the couple’s vision is executed accurately and with care
Maintain a polished, organized presence throughout the event without requiring constant direction
Host 1-2 meetings with the couple onsite prior to the wedding, typically evenings
Rehearsal Prep & execution
Ongoing communication with vendors and couple the month of the wedding
+/- 12 hrs onsite the day of the wedding

Calm, confident, and professional under pressure
Strong communicator with the ability to lead vendors and support clients
Reliable, organized, and team-oriented
Comfortable being client-facing and making real-time decisions
Able to stand and walk for long periods and assist with light physical tasks as needed
Previous wedding or event experience required
Available Fridays, Saturdays, and/or Sundays at least 1–2x per week during peak season
Takes pride in delivering a seamless, elevated experience for every couple
Excels at using Canva, Texting, Emailing, and Making Phone Calls
Willing to put egos to the side and work as a cohesive part of a multifaceted team
