Sunset Oaks is growing our team of hardworking, kind-hearted people who love being part of creating unforgettable wedding days. Our team helps bring events to life, from preparing the venue and styling décor to hosting guests and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
We’re looking for dependable team members who take pride in their work, can handle a fast-paced environment, and love being part of something meaningful. These are hands-on, active roles- perfect for people who enjoy working with others, solving problems, and seeing the results of their hard work at the end of the (long) day.
Current Opportunities
We hire for two main positions that work closely together to make every event a success:
Venue Host (Entry Level- multiple openings)
The during-the-wedding, evening-shift role responsible for venue care, event support, teardown, and cleaning after events.
Event Preparation Specialist (Experience Required, Sundays required- 1 opening)
The detail-driven early-shift role focused on cleaning, setup, décor, and venue readiness before each event.
Scheduling & Commitment
Must be available to work 1–2 shifts per week, typically on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays (during Peak Season- Spring & Fall)
Availability for multiple weekends per month is required (especially during peak season)
Occasional weekday housekeeping shifts may be available for the right candidate
Shifts are generally 6 AM–4 PM or 3 PM–midnight depending on the event schedule
Shifts are less frequent during the winter and summer months
Schedule is typically published 3-4 weeks in advance and could work around school or church (as a team, we all take occasional weekdays or sundays)
Requirements
To join our team, applicants must:
Be eligible to work in the U.S.
Have reliable transportation to and from the venue (Tyler, TX)
Be willing to work evenings, weekends, and late nights as scheduled
Be able to lift and carry at least 40 lbs, climb stairs, use a ladder, and stand for long periods
Pass a background check and drug test
Bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and respect for clients and teammates
